SURF CONTEST STARTS FRIDAY
POTENTIAL 7:30 A.M. START
Mark your calendars for March 12-15, 2015. That’s when Ron Jon Surf Shop’s “One of a Kind” flagship store in Cocoa Beach, FL will again host top athletes in surf, skate, stand-up paddle, kiteboarding and beach volleyball.
Check out the highlights from the 2014 event below:
- Vans/Ron Jon Junior Pro Surf Competition – The ASP 3-star event was the richest surf competition scheduled for the U.S. East Coast. Offering valuable points towards qualifying for the Junior Pro World Championships, as well as a $20,000 cash purse, the event drew all of the best U.S. mainland, Hawaii, and Latin American surfers age 20 and under.
- Rip Curl Legends Expression Session – Spectators got to watch legends of surfing, including Tom Curren, Matt Kechele, Shea Lopez and Todd Holland, compete to win money for their charity of choice.
- Goal Zero Women’s Collegiate Beach Volleyball – Cementing its place as the premiere East Coast collegiate tournament, five colleges from the East Coast came to Cocoa Beach to kick off their season at Beach ‘N Boards Fest.
- O’Neill Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Demo Day and Elite Race – People learned how to SUP at the demo day on the Intracoastal Waterway, and they participated in a free paddle clinic with champion paddler Rob Rojas. After the clinic, participants had the opportunity to test their new skills with 1-mile and 3-mile races. More experienced paddlers competed in the 7-mile Elite Ocean Race and got their chance at a $4,000 cash purse.
- Oakley/Element Street Skate Contest – Oakley and Element combined forces to bring street-style skating to Beach ‘N Boards Fest. During the event, skate enthusiasts also had the opportunity to take part in Element’s “No Board Left Behind” event, where old skate decks were cut down into a cruiser at no charge.
- Live music performances from artists that embody action sports community and culture.
- Lessons, contests, meet and greets with pro athletes and other festival related activities for attendees.

We do not have the full roster of teams confirmed yet, but we will soon. Stay tuned!
We are a surfband based out of Ft Lauderdale that features two female guitarists. Are you taking any submissions from bands to perform at the festival ?

I’m interested in participating in the SUP demo and 1 or 3 mile race afterwards. I don’t own a paddleboard and want to know if rentals will be available or if they’re included in the registration fee.
Thanks!
Please stay tuned as details come together on this event.
is it too late to sign up for the contest? if not where would i go
If you are looking to sign up for the ASP Junior Pro, please do so through ASP.
Are you offering/having any massage services for athletes i.e. pre-event stretching, post event cool down, chair/table demo? I’m an LMT located in Satellite Beach.
Please contact Mitch Varnes at [email protected]
