The clean, safe, and beautiful natural surroundings are a crucial element to the enjoyment of the board sports we love, and the Ron Jon Beach ‘N Boards Fest strives to be a sustainable event. Working with Repreve and Keep Brevard Beautiful, the event recycles or appropriately disposes of all the event’s byproducts.

Our official Sustainability sponsor, Volcom, provides educational information on marine waste and on sustainability and recycling. Volcom organizes daily beach clean ups during the event and also hosts a Sea Oat planting on the Saturday of Beach ‘N Boards Fest in which about 200 Sea Oats are planted in the dunes behind our main site.

It is our hope to raise more awareness about the importance of eco-conservation and beach preservation in the surfing and board sports communities. We are planning on making BNB a leader in the southeast in the area of green practices and will be modeling many of the practices developed by eco-innovators at festivals like Bonnaroo.

Please help us keep our beach and surrounding areas clean by utilizing the recycling bins that will be available!

Participants will check in under the Volcom tent, receive a bag to participate in beach clean ups. On Saturday at noon participants will receive sea oats to plant along the dune line, and walk away with a free goody bag.

Keep Brevard Beautiful supports our sustainability efforts by providing volunteers to assist with clean up and recycling.

This interactive exhibit shows how recycled plastic bottles are being transformed into cool stuff you can wear and use every day.  Volcom is a proud partner, and they have used this process in some of their boardshorts.
